HOUSTON – Civil trial lawyer Darren Braun of Houston-based Mahendru P.C. has been named to the 2018 Texas Rising Stars list of top young lawyers.
Mr. Braun, who represents both plaintiffs and defendants, was recognized for his general litigation work through a selection process that honors no more than 2.5 percent of eligible lawyers in the state. Rising Stars honorees must be 40 or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.
“Darren is a tough advocate and skilled litigator for our clients. I am extremely proud to see him earn this honor, especially considering what a competitive challenge it is to be recognized in the Texas legal market,” said firm founder Ashish Mahendru.
At Mahendru P.C., Mr. Braun has successfully represented clients in partnership and shareholder disputes, non-compete agreements and bet-the-company trade secret lawsuits. He has both pursued and defended against numerous temporary restraining orders and injunctions in contentious litigation matters.
While attending the University of Houston Law Center, Mr. Braun gained valuable hands-on experience in the law school’s civil practice clinic where he assisted indigent clients in family law, probate and bankruptcy matters. He graduated from UH Law magna cum laude in 2013. His undergraduate degree is from Pennsylvania State University.
