Veteran trial lawyer recognized in general litigation category
HOUSTON – Mahendru P.C. founder Ashish Mahendru has earned placement on the 2023 list of Texas Super Lawyers, marking the third consecutive year he has been selected for inclusion on the prestigious peer-reviewed legal guide.
Honorees are considered among the legal industry’s elite in their practice areas. Less than 5% of lawyers in the state are chosen each year for Texas Super Lawyers. Mr. Mahendru was selected for excellence in the general litigation category.
Mahendru P.C. focuses on business, commercial and employment litigation, trade secrets, non-competes, contract and partnership disputes, and high-stakes commercial contingency cases, as well as TROs and injunctions.
“We have built something special here at Mahendru P.C.,” said Mr. Mahendru. “Our clients come first, and we consistently deliver the kind of performance and results that you would expect from much larger firms. I am honored and grateful to our peers for giving us this kind of recognition.”
The firm and its attorneys are no stranger to accolades. Mr. Mahendru has also earned repeat selections to The Best Lawyers in America and Lawdragon listings of top attorneys. Mahendru P.C. was named to the 2023 Best Law Firms list for excellence in employment law – management.
Mr. Mahendru’s colleague Darren Braun was selected earlier this year to the Super Lawyers Texas Rising Stars list for a sixth consecutive year. That honor is reserved for top attorneys who are either 40 years old or younger, or who have been in practice no more than 10 years. It is typically reserved for just 2.5% of the state’s younger attorneys.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters company, profiles outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. Selections are made using a multiphase process that includes peer nominations, surveys and reviews by top lawyers, and independent research and evaluations.
