The Federal Trade Commission recently made shockwaves in labor and employment law after issuing a final rule banning post-employment non-compete agreements. Darren Braun, a trial lawyer with the Houston-based boutique commercial litigation firm Mahendru P.C. contributed an article entitled “The FTC’s Noncompete Ban: Don’t Put the Cart Before the Horse” for Texas Lawyer in the Employment and Labor Law Special Section 2024.
Mr. Braun highlighted the fact that there is extensive legal pushback over the FTC decision, and it could be years until the matter is finally settled. “There is vast uncertainty as to whether the ban will actually go into effect,” wrote Mr. Braun.
