Mahendru, P.C. founding partner Ashish Mahendru and fellow Mahendru, P.C. trial attorney Darren Braun contributed the article “A Noncompete Ban in Texas? Don’t Hold Your Breath,” to the Texas Lawyer Labor and Employment Special Section. The attorneys address the legislative efforts in Texas to define state law on noncompete agreements, contracts many workers are asked to sign by their employers which prohibit those workers from working for a competitor or engaging in a competing business endeavor for a predetermined period after leaving a position.  

The byline article says in part, “In this political climate, it seems doubtful that Texas legislators would support a noncompete ban opposed at the federal level, and which the current administration is likely to kill off for good.”
